ARÇELİK A.Ş. started its quality-related activities in the 1980s with the Quality Circles system and brought its activities together under the umbrella of Total Quality at the beginning of the 1990s. It adopted these models in chronological order:
- Quality, Environmental and Laboratory Management Systems
- EFQM Excellence Model
- 6 Sigma
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
ARÇELİK A.Ş. tracks innovations in this area and continuously improves its systems and processes. In the domestic market, it is a pioneer and successful on many fronts. It continues to increase its importance on the international arena with the awards it has won on its journey to achieving Total Quality.
ARÇELİK A.Ş. has documented its quality management system according to ISO 9001 standards and is persistently improving them. Utilizing this information continuously, ARÇELİK A.Ş. uses the Six Sigma method to achieve excellence. The company also improves efficiency in work processes to compete in the international arena.
Granted the “European Quality Prize” in 2000, ARÇELİK A.Ş. adopts an excellence approach (Total Quality Management) to all processes leading to the end product.
This Total Quality journey enhances efficiency in all services. As a result, customers are able to receive higher quality goods and services under more favorable conditions. A common language has been created while team spirit and communication have advanced continuously at every step in this journey. Since 1993, the improvements in work processes have been sustained at every step, from Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems to our suppliers down to our customers as auspicious preemptive approaches have been developed towards changing internal and external conditions through corporate self-assessment efforts drawing from excellence model criteria of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
